Milton Avery’s Summers in Jamaica, Vermont

The Jamaica Historical Foundation is proud to host an event about the prominent artist Milton Avery and his work that was inspired by his summers spent in Jamaica Vermont between 1935 and 1943.

This event is on Saturday, August 6th at the Hefflon House right next to the Jamaica Town Hall


 4-7pm  Informational exhibit

 5pm  Lecture by Bennington Museum curator Jamie Franklin.

 7pm  Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival concert


This JHF event coincides with the “Milton Avery’s Vermont” exhibit at the Bennington Museum which is now open through November 6th.  The Bennington exhibit shows Avery’s unusual choice of dynamic colors in his landscapes.  Bennington Musem, Milton Avery's Vermont
